Richmond Safe Spaces Committee
We are a Richmond-wide community-based committee dedicated to nurturing a safe space for all jazz dancers regardless of gender/gender identity, race, sexual orientation, age, ability, religious affiliation, or physical appearance.
We do this by:

- Working with dancers and local organizers, both online and on site, to advocate for safe spaces at local dances
- Impartially investigating reports when needs for emotional and/or physical safety have not been met in our scene
- Recommending possible actions to Richmond jazz dance organizations based upon our findings
- Communicating with organizers so that our scene is equipped to responsibly provide care for one another

And we are here to help nurture the Richmond dance community to be a safe and welcoming dance scene.
